I have worked as translator and subtitler for three years. At NovelleLeggere, an Italian website that publishes web novels, I translated and proofread more than fifty chapters (nearly one million of words) in the last three years. Sometimes I write subtitles for Amara.org and TEDtalk and I started translating historical articles for World History Encyclopedia in the last few months. During this period I learnt how to organize my time and my job, respect the deadlines and the necessities of my working group, and to collaborate with my colleagues.
I am a native Italian speaker with a proficiency in English and Spanish. I speak French too and I am studying Persian at the moment. Besides that, I am a responsible, reliable and determined person that wants to do his best and succeed in his job, no matter how difficult it may be. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics from the University of Turin.
When clients request literal translations, this is how I handle the situation
I read the text and then I establish the tone and style of the work. After that, I start with the translation, and I proofread it a couple of times.
